What is "The Leafy"? The Bournville Leafy 10K, affectionately known as "The Leafy", is a multi-terrain 10k through the parkland and paths of leafy Bournville, organised by Bournville Harriers. The course is two laps, starting and finishing on the playing fields at Rowheath. Expect a mixture of terrain — grass, woodland, paths and roads — plus a few hills, with plenty of marshals keeping everyone on course. Road shoes are normally fine, but hybrids or trail shoes are worth considering if the weather's been wet. Race HQ is Rowheath Pavilion, which was built by the Cadbury family in 1924 for their workers. It has a modern changing and toilet block which will be our base for the day.
