Hell Wath Nature Reserve, Whitcliffe Lane, Ripon, Yorkshire and The Humber

The race follows a scenic, multi-terrain course of approximately 10k. It is an undulating route mainly on footpaths through parkland. Starting on Hell Wath Nature Reserve, continuing up Whitcliffe Lane onto public footpaths through Mackershaw Woods and Studley Deer Park, passing Monty's bench (in memory of our club co-founder and former club president). The course then heads out of the main gate at Studley, right, up Plumpton Lane, and returns via a short steep climb in Mackershaw Woods, across to Whitcliffe Lane and back towards Hell Wath Nature Reserve. Following a short section through the woods at Hell Wath, the course then emerges onto the field back to the finish. The course is not suitable for wheelchairs, prams or pushchairs. A route map will be displayed at Race HQ on the day. This race will be the 38th Edition of this popular festive event and sells out quickly each year.
