About the Event The Black Nore 10km, organised by Portishead Running Club, is a mixed-terrain coastal race set along the North Somerset coastline. Starting in the Lake Grounds, the route joins the coastal path and follows the edge of the Bristol Channel with views across to Wales, passing Black Nore Lighthouse and continuing through Redcliffe Bay. The course is generally undulating, with a more sustained climb around halfway where a water station is located. A descent then leads back towards the coast, followed by a short climb near the sailing club before a fast finish along the esplanade. With a mix of terrain and a straightforward layout, it offers a solid 10km route suitable for a range of abilities.
